Darrell Mitchell

Singer songwriter Darrell Mitchell has had an a truly wonderful career cutting his teeth on the Reading music scene and working with various record labels, including early releases on Spanish label Elefant. In his music career Darrell has supported artists such as All about Eve, Gino Washington and Echo and the Bunnymen to name a few. More recently Darrell has played sessions for BBC Coventry and Warwickshire. With “The Geography Of Fish” we aim to take his sound global, scaling up Spotify’s songs chart and opening the door for more opportunities. In 2019, Darrell played a sold out show at the Cavern Club, home to the legendary Beatles with The Occasional Orchestra at the International pop overthrow festival. The band has shared the stage with acts such as Hugh Cornwall, Blockheads, The Pretty Things and The lightening Seeds. Darrell’s songwriting knows no boundaries; delivering a romantic nostalgia to melodic indie folk songs. His signature sound of effortlessly acoustic and electric guitar with the soulful elements of modern indie folk has proven to be a driver in his success.

Darrell is clearly one to watch out for with his unique sound, and nostalgic brand.

Fields are Burning is Darrell's new release and is available on all streaming sites from 28.01.2022.
